SPECIALIST FOCUS AREAS
The most highly varied Corps within Navy Health Care is composed of a multidisciplinary team of Navy Officers in any of 22 specialties grouped into three broad focus areas:
Health Care Administration
Take your ability to manage complex systems and put it to use for an incredible cause: ensuring that systems are in place to maintain the health of the servicemembers of the Navy and Marines. You’ll also contribute to humanitarian relief efforts around the world, managing projects that are as exciting as they are varied.
Health Care Sciences
If you have a love of science — from aerospace physiology to microbiology — the Navy Medical Service Corps can take you beyond the cutting edge. You’ll work with unrivaled support and funding, and with technology the private sector may not even know about.
Clinical Care Providers
Clinical care in the Medical Service Corps is similar to the private sector, whether it’s caring for infants or the elderly, or treating conditions of the mind or the feet. But what distinguishes practice in the Navy is access to cutting-edge technology. Getting experience on a whole new level. And impressive rewards for making a difference in the world.
EDUCATIONAL/FINANCIAL BENEFITS
Wherever you are in your professional career, the Navy can help ease your financial burdens and advance your career with generous scholarships, financial assistance and continuing education programs.
And keep in mind: If you’re a student, you can concentrate on your education or training with no military/training obligation until after your program is completed.
